  Nice home, but bad overall experience

  Liked: Living room

  Disliked: The house itself was pleasant overall, but several issues affected the stay. The upstairs toilet was extremely small, and the sinks and bathtub did not drain properly. Since the toilet is upstairs and the stairs are uncarpeted, providing slippers would have been a thoughtful touch—especially given the rule against using foot cream. The living room also did not feel very clean. There were notices and rules posted everywhere, including several for fairly minor things; after a while, the sheer number makes them easy to tune out. The most disappointing part was the host’s conduct at checkout. On the day, she asked us to notify her so she could come and inspect the property before we left, which felt unusual and unnecessarily intrusive for a Booking stay. There were also issues over the city tax: we were initially asked to pay more than the amount required (~40% more!), and when we pointed this out, there was no apology—just a response that she was “okay with” the correct amount, despite the charge being incorrect in the first place. Finally, she also attempted to charge us for items allegedly taken from the fridge that we had not taken.

  Lovely place to stay Bruges

  Liked: Clean and comfortable and well equipped. Sofie welcomed us and showed us everything. 20 minute walk into the centre. Large supermarket 5minutes walk away. We enjoyed our few days there.

  Disliked: The stairs and landing are a work in progress so not decorated to the standard of the rest of the house, but it didn’t detract from our enjoyment.

  A wonderful five days. We made a great choice

  Liked: This is a lovely apartment that I would highly recommend. Nicely decorated but comfortable. Very well equipped with everything you might need to prepare meals. The large glass doors overlooking the garden make the space seem even more spacious and relaxing. Easy to travel to the city center either walking or by Uber. Large supermarket close by. Sofie is a great host although everything was so well put together that we didn't have to bother her at all.

  Disliked: I must have missed this in the description but be aware that if you have accessibility issues the bathroom and bedroom are up a flight of stairs.

  An absolute Gem!

  Liked: Everything! It’s proximity to the historical center, the quiet neighborhood, the spaciousness and comfort of the home as well as Sofie being one of the most gracious hosts I have ever met. I would definitely recommend, and if I return to Bruges during the Spring, I will definitely return to this accommodation.

  Disliked: No complaints.

  Great weekend escape with the hubby

  Liked: Beautiful property, great location, comfy bed and very peaceful. Perfect for seeing the magic of Brugge at Christmas, just a 15 minute walk into the centre of Brugge. Parking available on street out the front. Sofie was very helpful, friendly and welcoming. Would highly recommend.
