    Charming but challenging

Liked: Location was great. The property is a set of adjacent houses around a courtyard. Th interiors were charming and we probably would have enjoyed our stay more if we had more than 1 night.

Disliked: Communication and instructions for self check-in and parking were not the best. We arrived late and weren't able to arrange parking before arrival. This process may have been easier before dark, not sure, but definitely challenging after a long travel day. We booked 2 different rooms and the instructions for both were unclear. Our friend eventually found his room and h ad no problem entering with the key provided in the entry. Our room did not have a key and we had to use a long code to open our door. When we finally got to our room we couldn't figure out how to open the door even with the code. The task was more difficult because the lights kept turning off automatically. We ended up borrowing another guests phone to call the number we found downstairs in the main building and they called someone else to come and help us with our door.

    Not what I expected

    Liked: Close to centre

Disliked: Check in was a nightmare. Complicated and Difficult to find the entrance. There are no staff available most of the time. Floors a creaky and slippery. My husband fell 3 times. No extra pillows, soap, mugs or blankets. Its not a hotel or an airbnb...not sure what it is. I booked 2 rooms cos my husband suffers insomnia but the 2nd room only had a cot in it so that was useless. Fridge didn't work.

    Bites

    Liked: Very central

Disliked: We were there 2 nights. We were bitten so much by some insects we couldn't sleep. It really spoilt our stay, we were so itchy and comfortable and didn't sleep. There were no staff on site so I contacted them and they said 'well it's not our fault there's mosquitoes in the room is it?'. Not very helpful, terrible service and care of the customer. Very disappointed
