  A lovely hotel with terrace;-)

  Liked: A lovely little hotel in Zagreb. We chose this room specifically for the terrace, and it was absolutely worth it! 😊 The room itself is quite small but very cosy. Everything is tastefully decorated, with great attention to detail. It's about a 30-minute walk to the city centre, and there are plenty of little shops and bakeries nearby. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you for your warm hospitality!

  Bad experience sadly

  Liked: It was clean, well equipped and the air con was much appreciated. The owner was nice to talk to which makes me feel bad to leave a negative review.

  Disliked: Unfortunately I have a few negatives about this property starting with the fact that I didn’t receive any instructions on how to get in prior to my arrival so I had to call the owner from outside the property. Whilst on the phone to her, and carrying a large rucksack, I didn’t see there was a step in the hall and fell off it and sprained my ankle. In fairness to the owner, after I had got over the initial shock and managed to sit for a while and eventually get myself up the stairs, she did then send her husband round to carry my rucksack up to the apartment which I wasn’t able to do at the time. However, had I received the arrival instructions beforehand I wouldn’t have been distracted by being on the phone to her and would have noticed the step and so the accident might never have happened. There should be a notice warning of it or have a larger white band painted more visibly as I’m sure I can’t be the first person to fall down it. The host did send me a message later (which I appreciated) asking me how I was and told me where the pharmacy was located and, when I was able to walk more than a few steps, I finally went out and bought a compression bandage, pain killers and a bag of frozen peas from the nearby Studenac but it certainly wasn’t the evening I envisaged! Secondly, the noise from the street right outside is unbearable and relentless with cars and trams thundering past all through the night. Even wearing ear plugs and a snooze band I could still hear it and feel the vibrations of the trams. Lastly, the garden view….a graffiti covered concrete block at the end of the garden (on the other side of the fence) isn’t really what I expected to be looking out onto and definitely not the same as in the photos. I soon decided to only stay one night out of the three that I had booked and found a quieter, but obviously more expensive, alternative.
