  Lovely hotel, with a few minor hiccups in a great location

  Liked: Nice quirky hotel layout. Breakfast was good. Location was excellent. Self-service process was easy to follow.

  Disliked: The exhaust fan in the bathroom coming on automatically at 6:45am every morning - with no ability to switch it off. The outside security light would come on constantly throughout the night - which was right outside our room. The shower floor was very slippery.

  Good hotel, would use again

  Liked: Hotel is near the train station and also within 15 mins walk of the old town. The room was well appointed and clean. Good shower and well sized bathroom. Staff answered any queries submmitted via booking.com messaging immediately. This was greatly appreciated. There is no reception at the property, you checkin online and received codes by email which you enter on a key pad at the room door. There are staff present to help with breakfast and show you how to leave your luggage. Breakfast was good. Would use again.

  Worst place in a 3 weeks trip

  Liked: Room was clean Bicycle storage and charging (not locked)

  Disliked: - Tiny room with the toilet seat 1.5m away from the pillow of my bad. No separation of toilet or bathroom - noisy. Old building where you can hear your neighbour in anything they do - room was hot. Tiny fan was... Tiny - cheap, plastic pillow and blanket - no human being there, all fully digitalised. Took me 15 mins to sort out to get checked in and open the room door

  Convenient for main train station and the Altstadt but no manned reception

  Liked: 10-15 min walk from the main train station and about the same into the Altstadt. The room was of good size, nicely decorated and with plenty of shelf storage space but limited hanging space. Good sized bathroom with plenty of storage space. Easy to access shower with good controls and excellent pressure Good sized wash hand basin with a plug that didn't leak and excellent hot/cold supply. Good buffet breakfast with reasonable choice. Friendly staff at breakfast.

  Disliked: No manned reception for check-in. Check-in is done online in two stages - the first: a few days before arrival., the second: on arrival. I wasn't aware of this when I made the booking as there is no mention of it in the hotel description but I cannot say if it would have made a difference to my decision to book. The codes required to access the room were not generated until the scheduled arrival time so there is no point in arriving early and the information on how to use the codes could be better as it took us a number of attempts to get the door open. Access to the upstairs rooms was via a short steep staircase. There was no air conditioning facility. Shower floor was slippery when wet. No plain yogurt at breakfast.
