Liked: Room is big, bathroom also big and the free parking
Disliked: Location not very close to center but you can walk or take the bus
Pricey for what you get!
Liked: This hotel offered parking so we booked it for this reason but didn't realize how far it was from the center of town. The room was ok, clean, both room and bathroom were well lit.
Disliked: First of all, the hotel is run by Orientals who did not speak English, they were very nice but only one could speak English, and he wasn't there all the time. The hotel did not have an elevator, so we had to walk up two sets of long winding stairs to get to our room on the top floor. It was recommended to us by the only English speaking person there to take the bus into center and not drive because of parking issues. It was an awful experience, bus hot, full of people, rude young people as well. We did not feel very safe. Then we had to figure out which bus to take to get back to hotel area. They offered wifi but we could never get it to work and no one was available to help us so we never had wifi. No AC so we opened the window for air. Temps in May cool but would definitely not recommend for summer. We only had two bath towels, one hand towel and no bathmat. The hotel is located to serve people who go to soccer games and not tourist wanting to see the town. The price did not include breakfast, and we thought it was very pricey for what it offered. We paid more for this hotel than we did for others that were much nicer and included breakfast and had elevators, etc. I would not recommend this place for tourist going to see the town. The staff was nice, but the place just didn't meet our expectations for the money we paid.

Liked: Bamberg itself, not the hotel.
Disliked: At first glance, the building looked fine from the outside and its location seemed really good. Upon entering, unfortunately, cheap solutions became immediately apparent. The reception and the restaurant both were run by the same two visibly overworked employees. After checking in, for the first time in my life, arrived into a room that had not yet been made. When I mentioned this to the receptionist, he gave me the keys of another room without the slightest sign of remorse, almost indignantly. To my utmost surprise, this room had not yet been cleaned either. At this point, I really would have preferred to leave, except that I had just driven over 700+ km to get here. Lucky enough for me, the third room was finally more or less clean. Understandably, I was very disappointed, but the stunning beauty of Bamberg made up for my disappointment the next day. Don't get me wrong, I perfectly understand that mistakes can happen anywhere, the question always remains how we try to remedy them. The attitude I experienced here is totally unacceptable.
Liked: Nice staff, good breakfast, super nice rooms.
Disliked: Maybe a small fridge in the room, will be perfect.
