What is Messe Berlin?
It is Berlin’s exhibition centre, below the Funkturm radio tower, home to the ITB travel fair, the IFA electronics show, Green Week and InnoTrans.
Getting around from here
The S-Bahn and U2 link the grounds with Charlottenburg in five minutes and Alexanderplatz in about 25. BER airport is about 45 minutes away.
When the hotels fill up
During ITB in March, IFA in September and InnoTrans, hotels in Charlottenburg and Westend fill up and get much more expensive; book months ahead.
Which area to choose
In Westend and around Kaiserdamm there are chain hotels within walking distance of the fair. Charlottenburg, by the Kurfürstendamm, has more choice and restaurants, ten minutes away.
