Exceptional
One of the best hotels at which I have ever stayed! Would love to come back & have told my friends!
Liked: All the food was exceptional! Breakfast had everything you would ever want: Eggs, fresh bread, gourmet cheeses, granola, cereal, fresh vegies, salads, and excellent coffee! A free (exceptional) mid-day snack (almost a light meal) was available from 2-5 pm. The restaurant serves dinner on certain nights during the week & food is excellent! Our room had a view of the Neuschwanstein castle - only a 15 minute bike ride away. Free use of non-electric bikes, but e-bikes also available for a fee (same fee as bike shops in Fussen, but more convenient. Bike paths plentiful & excellent. The Kristall-Therme spa is less than a 5 minute bike ride with various indoor & outdoor thermal, mineral pools.
Disliked: Nothing we couldn't deal with. Although free bus service is available to Fussen, buses don't run as often after about 8 pm. If you decide to go to Fussen for dinner, just pay attention to the bus schedule unless you don't mind walking (a nice walk) 35 minutes back to the hotel.
Traditional German hospitality close to the castles
Liked: Both Breakfast and afternoon tea were out of this world! Unlimited quantity and fantastic quality. Afternoon tea (included) was a real bonus - several types of cakes, traditional local food in a lovely setting with very nice staff.
Disliked: Nothing. The place is fantastic. Worth 11/10!

Liked: The facility is very clean and located in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood; however, they provide a free public transport pass for getting around the city.The breakfast was truly excellent.
Disliked: The staff were very hardworking but very sullen and did not like talking much; they did not particularly appreciate questions or requests.
Simply the best
Liked: Incredible location, perfect for a hike up to the castles. Lovely buffet options, very helpful and accommodating staff.
A perfect stay!
Liked: We loved absolutely everything about Helmerhof Allgäu Hideaway. From the impeccable cleanliness and comfortable accommodation to the peaceful atmosphere and beautiful surroundings, our stay was perfect. The absolute highlight, however, was the exceptional breakfast – truly the crowning glory of our experience! Our only regret is that we stayed for such a short time. Next time, we will definitely stay for at least five days. We highly recommend this wonderful place!
