Delightful Accommodations - Central to Everything Fussen Has to Offer
Liked: Located just outside the wall, exceptionally easy pull-off the highway and park if traveling by car. Yet less than 10-minute walk to the train station. Short easy walk to all the restaurants and shops in the old town. Across the street from a modern Rewe shopping center where you can stock up on booze, beer, wine, and goodies for daytrips to the castles and other local attractions. The staff was practically jubilant - quick with a laugh, and always ready to help. Delicious German-style buffet breakfast. Easy bus access to the castles with the free "Fussen Pass", not even 10 minutes away from the "Pulverturm" bus stop across the street. And the same bus line goes two more stops out the fantastical "Schlossbrauhaus Schwangau" beer hall complex with indoor and outdoor dining and a magnificent view of Neuschwanstein castle. Hotel HIrsch is a gem of a hotel that let's you absolutely maximize your time in the Fussen area.

Liked: The room was amazing. The decorations throughout the hotel were gorgeous. It was our favorite hotel in our travels around Germany. The room was large for 4 adults and comfortable. Breakfast and dinner were lovely. We had a car so it was a short drive down to the castles. Town was wonderful. A beautiful hotel. Parking on site.
