  Lovely apartment on the opposite side of the river from Altstadt Koblenz

  Liked: A very smart apartment, clean and comfortable. Pleasant situation across the river from Altstadt Koblenz. If you want to be near the Festung it's well placed.

  Disliked: I would have given it top marks but for the broken shower/ bath tap. I contacted the owner on arrival who replied quickly (a bot?), who said "sorry for the inconvenience" - a bit of an understatement. Of course it could not be repaired in the two days we were there. Also, and very unfortunately, there is no quick access across the river to the Altstadt as the foot passenger ferry closed early in 2026 but is still shown on the maps. The alternative is a bus or a 30 minute walk along the riverbank and over the bridge.

  Great value, clean, interesting, large space close to fortress with one caveat

  Liked: We liked this accomodation. It's close to funicular to go up to fortress and gondola down to Koblenz town. Bus back to accomodation. Bus from train station to accomodation. Easy peasy. Clean and great room. Comfortable bed. Large. Nice, large, clean bathroom. Shared kitchen was nice for coffee in morning before heading out.

  Disliked: Around 1am or so, a group of people came to the same floor as us and were drinking and smoking. We actually went out to the shared kitchen to let them know that we were trying to sleep but they did not stop talking loudly (they were quite rude). Bring and/or wear earplugs if you plan to stay here. When we used the shared kitchen in the morning, there was still a lot of cigarette smoke coming out of their room which we are not used to.

  very old house but still in decent shape. bring a flashlight for the stairs!

  Liked: fan in the room was nice and location is just a few steps from the Lidl supermarket. historic building and convenient if you want to participate in the Ehrenbreitstein parkrun event

  Disliked: low ceiling in the room and the floor is sloped so things roll towards the door. there was a big wedding party directly across the street during our stay so the music was pumping until late at night. stairwell lights were a bit difficult to find in the dark. floor with rooms only had one toilet/shower room, but at least there was another toilet two floors down. kitchen was useful but locked for a while for some reason.

  Very satisfied!

  Liked: The room was very quiet, and was very clean. The staff was helpful and answered us quickly. It was all in all very comfortable to stay there.

  Disliked: The floor was squeaky, which it wasn’t really a problem.
