Disliked: Because of the construction work nearby, the surrendings were not good
Liked: Hotel parking
Disliked: Toilet sink was leaking, pillows were extremely unsupportive, soundproofing is close to non existent. Overall a very old hotel and you definitely can tell

Liked: The position, close to the center
Disliked: The lady at reception who handled my check-in was unfriendly and unhelpful. When I asked whether she spoke English, she said yes but continued speaking German. Communication was clearly a problem, as she was unable to provide even basic information, such as the breakfast times. The room I was initially assigned smelled of cigarette smoke, so I asked to change room. Unfortunately, the receptionist was unable to understand my request due to the language barrier. Another colleague eventually came to assist me and assigned me a different room, but only after asking me numerous questions. Clearly he did not believe me, I stated to go himself and verified. Overall, the check-in experience was disappointing. I would expect the staff at the reception to be welcoming, helpful, and able to communicate effectively in English with international guests.

Liked: Very comfortable. Nice sauna. Great breakfast.
Disliked: To get out to walk along the river we had to walk out through the underground car park. Also the kitchen closed at 9pm which we felt was very early.
Disappointing
Liked: Good location for Altstadt
Disliked: Parking was difficult in à small van, low height limit. No valet service as advertised and car park not owned by hotel. Very busy. Staff reluctant to give us change to enable road parking further away.
Liked: Friendly staff. Huge, comfortable bed. Good location within walking distance off Deutches Eck/waterfront.
Disliked: We couldn't get out of the car park at the end of our stay due to an issue with the ticket machine. We had a long drive that day and it delayed us for 45 minutes.
Good to know
Due to the current situation (worldwide energy crisis), the sauna and the wellness area are closed.
