  Unique hostel with friendly staff and a bike shop full of character

  Liked: The stay at the hostel was very comfy and pleasant. It has a warm social atmosphere where you can make friends and meet other interesting travelers. I only stayed for one night and traveled with the bicycle, so the location was easy to get to. The owner is very welcoming and very passionate about traveling and coffee. He was very considerate and kind enough to offer a welcome and goodbye coffee. I would totally recommend this place to anyone looking for a hostel built with passion and with purpose for fellow travelers.

  Minimalistic, friendly, with personality. Good value for money

  Liked: Friendly host, clean facilities, although rather a thin matric, it was good and I had a good night sleep. Safely stored my bike. Host made me a local coffee-like drink that he grew and roasted by himself. Good value for money.

  Disliked: Little older but authentic furniture, the location isn't very interesting.

  Very clean and exactly what you need when traveling

  Liked: Lovely place, facilities seem a little dated, but everything is clean, neat & tidy and exactly as you need. The owner Gerry was a great host, very helpful in the process of updating

  Disliked: I had trouble finding the property using the directions from Booking.Com, they kept taking me to the small airfield. (Reported so hopefully this will be corrected soon) *Gerry’s Backpackers is located through the Maps app and when used I found it straightaway

  Liked: Nice private room. Clean. Very friendly staff, who offered a drink which I unfortunately had to refuse because no time. The place was clean! I saw a mantis. The place was next to an airport but I didnt hear a single plane once.

  Disliked: Was a bit difficult to check in and check out as it's run by just some nice people, who also have their own lives. No covers on the drains, have fun dropping rings or your toothbrush down there. The place is a bit far from the lake, even by bus, through the warehouse district. Room very warm in summer.

  Perfect and pleasant

  Liked: The owners were incredibly friendly, and the room was cosy and pleasantly cool, especially considering it was summer. I would definitely stay here again if I return to the Bodensee!

  This place is a total mess. Gerry, the owner became aggressive when I tried to point out that we didn’t want to stay as

  Disliked: The whole place is a mess & a lot more run down that the pictures. It is in an industrial estate. When we arrived we thought it was a scrap yard for motorcycles & quads
