Fabulous
Liked: Well stocked with household items. Clean.
Disliked: Weird lock on the door which kept jamming. Had to ask staff to help open it. Staff didn’t speak good English. Bed wasn’t very comfortable and no duvet.
Convenient location with a good airport shuttle option
Liked: This property is in an excellent location. Very easy to walk to Old Town and a range of services close by. Even though the property is close to everything, it was quiet at night. The owner kindly picked us up at the airport in his shuttle service which was really helpful. He also offered tips on local restaurants which was appreciated. There is a large outdoor area.
Disliked: The property's bathroom was really awful. The floors are badly stained and the shower leaks water onto the floor. We drew this to the owners attention and he acknowledged the problem and was going to rectify after we left. To use the washing machine, you have to put the water hose into the toilet for the water to drain. It is not plumbed into anything. The property is quite dated internally and the only air-conditioning is a portable unit which wasn't very effective. There are cut off pipes in the rooms so maybe it used to have split systems but these are no longer there. The parking was very challenging. While it does have free street parking, this is not very close and the easiest parking involved either a bigger walk or, you can use the free parking and then use the shuttle bus to get to the accommodation. If having parking on site or close by is important, this was not an option.

Liked: The apartment was fully equipped with everything we needed and was a comfortable size for three guests. The property also has a huge open balcony. The location was perfect, very close to the historic city center. Special thanks apart owner - Alena:)

Liked: The property is very close to the center of Chania and the KTEL bus station. The apartment was spacious, quiet, and equipped with every comfort.

Liked: This was our fifth time we stayed at Alena Apartments and as always we felt comfortable and very pleased. Friendly staff, perfect location, tidy room, excellent wi-fi - nothing to complain about. Definitely will book it again next year when in Chania.
Exceptional stay
Liked: Clean spacious and comfortable room, friendly staff. Georgios picked us up from the airport free of charge. Much appreciated after a long flight. Apartment equipped with everything needed for our stay. Location is perfect in city centre.
Disliked: Kitchen area could do with an overhaul and modernised.
