Fabulous
Liked: Our favorite place that we keep coming back to again and again! Pros: Ideal location. The apartments are located in Kato Daratso, literally a 20-minute walk from Chania town. There is a mini-market right opposite the property, and a large supermarket and a bus stop are just a two-minute walk away. Magnificent beaches. Huge, wonderful beaches are just a two-minute walk away, including the famous Golden Beach. Stunning view. The balcony offers a spectacular panoramic view of the sea, the mountains, and a picturesque olive tree alley all at once. Cleanliness, coziness, and hot water. Even though the hotel is not brand new, it is incredibly soulful and spotlessly clean. We had a few rainy days in October, but there was always hot water in the apartment, so it was perfect for warming up in the shower. Lovely welcome gifts. Wonderful complimentary treats were waiting in the fridge: incredibly sweet oranges, delicious tomatoes, as well as coffee, sugar, and a small bottle of olive oil. Family traditions and new staff. We are returning guests here. This summer, in early September, our son stayed here with his girlfriend, and in October, our eldest daughter visited. This time we met the new reception staff. We were deeply saddened to learn last year that the former owner of the hotel had sadly passed away, but we are very glad to see that his life's work is being carried on at the exact same high standard. The hotel's living mascots. A new special feature this year that completely delighted our adult daughter was three amazing and very funny kittens (a ginger one, a striped gray one, and a black-and-white one). She had so much fun playing with them and taking photos! There are no cons, the vacation was absolutely wonderful. Thank you so much for preserving this warm atmosphere!
Served a purpose but wouldn’t stay again
Liked: Location attending a wedding nearby. Price.
Disliked: Loud knocking in the middle of the night so felt vulnerable as solo female on the ground floor.
Affordable option for a stay
Liked: Easy to find and parking space was bigger than I expected. Easy self checkin after 20;00 with clear instructions. Perfect for late arrival. Room was cleand and spacious. Night was quiet and bed was very comfortable.
Disliked: The entrance door sound insulation could be better.
Nice apartment for a family vacation
Liked: The location is very good—just 200 meters from the beach\. There is a mini market right next to the apartment, as well as a large supermarket nearby\. The bus station is less than 100 meters away, and the apartment is not far from the city center\. The beach near the hotel is very nice, and the staff are very friendly and helpful\.
Liked: Nice bedroom with living room. Nice terrasse. Walking distance to beach and supermarket.
Liked: The mother cat and her six kittens were the highlight of our stay in Crete.
