Disliked: The female staff on the front desk were no help. Poorly trained. Very matter of fact.

Liked: Out of all the places I stayed during my travels, this was unfortunately the most challenging and uncomfortable experience. Starting with the positives, the staff and fellow travelers were always kind and friendly. The hostel has a genuinely welcoming, social atmosphere. However, the facilities and overall condition of the property made my stay much more stressful than I had anticipated. First of all, getting to the hostel on foot is incredibly exhausting, especially if you’re backpacking with heavy luggage. The surrounding streets are extremely steep, and walking uphill with all your belongings is definitely not an enjoyable experience. The hostel itself feels like an old house that has been converted into shared accommodation, but unfortunately, it also feels quite outdated and poorly maintained. One positive is that they offer female-only dorms. However, these are located on the very top floor, making the climb even more exhausting. The bathrooms were probably the worst part. There are very few throughout the property, and an entire floor of rooms has to share a single bathroom. Their condition and lack of proper maintenance made using them particularly unpleasant. The bedrooms were also extremely small, with barely enough space to move around comfortably. Everything felt cramped. Because of my experience with the overall cleanliness, I didn’t feel comfortable using the shared kitchen or dining area. On a more positive note, I did appreciate the workspace near reception, which was comfortable and convenient whenever I needed to get some work done. Would I stay here again? Unfortunately, no. It wasn’t necessarily a matter of feeling unsafe, as I never had any particular concerns about the people or the atmosphere. It was more about the constant discomfort, poor maintenance, lack of cleanliness, and the physical effort required just to get around the property.

Liked: Great location in the city centre, the staff were friendly, generally decent for its money.

Disliked: The building doesn't have a lift so if you're on the last floor you have to take the stairs. Due to its great location do not expect to be quiet at night.
