A fantastic gem of a hotel!
Liked: This is a fantastic hotel, very conveniently located, only a short walk to the ruins of Pompeii, and the staff are amazingly friendly. We got a complimentary upgrade on our rooms, which was an unexpected joy, and meant our 2 rooms were side by side, in the garden area. The rooms are laid out to a very high standard and are exceptionally clean. The breakfast buffet had some much more to offer than we expected. We had a very lovely 2 night stay and if we come back to Pompeii we’d be sure to stay here, and will be recommending it to friends and family
Perfect location and friendly staff
Liked: A fantastic, hospitable and comfortable place to stay, short walking distance from the ruins of ancient Pompei and less than 30 minutes from Naples Airport. Gaetano was extremely helpful with directions and recommendations. We arrived before the check-in and were able to get to our room - it was upgraded as the hotel was not full on the day, which we appreciated. Next morning we had to leave at 4am due to early flight and Geatano met us at the reception with prepared packed breakfasts. A perfect ending to our Italian holiday:)

Liked: My friend and I are both America and found this hotel perfect. The location is great for Saint Bartolo's church and the old ruins of Pompei. The staff spoke perfect English and were VERY friendly. The front desk had a reasonablely priced trip to see many towns across the coast of Pompei about an hour out. Including beautiful churches and beaches. This hotel was a great choice for our stay with a good working A/C. It was warm when we went.

Liked: this was my third year staying at grand hotel royal. the owner Gaetano and his family are the essence of Italian hospitality. great location to start my trip to Calabria. my wife and i travel to Italy every year and this is always my first stop. we will continue to stop here to see our extended family. we felt an instant connection after our first stay. we would highly recommend this hotel to everyone. alla familia!!!!!
