Exceptional
Great location, decent facilities, but it felt cold and impersonal
Liked: The location was great, just a little walk from the Piazza del Campo. Breakfast was good (but we had to book a time slot): breakfast at the property on Tuesdays and at a nearby restaurant the other days (the restaurant is good but it’s California vibes, so too bad if you want to experience the Italian vibe). The staff was nice but not there… (we saw the owner once, working on his computer) The view from the room was great.
Disliked: The self check-in is a hassle if you don’t activate your datas on your phone like me, we had to go through WhatsApp. There was no table and chair in our bedroom and no glass to drink water. No food or drinks available 24h (the other places had coffee and tea and sometimes fruits). The bathroom had a falling apart towel holder, we couldn’t plug the sink (we were planning on washing some clothes in the sink and couldn’t), and there was mold and some sort of orange scum in the shower…
Delightful and traditional
Liked: Location - easy walk to all the sights. Typical for the city. The views - to die for. My daughter woke me for sunrise as the bells rang - unforgettable. The painting in the room. The comfortable bed.
Disliked: The bathroom was a little lacking. Having to lock and unlock the bathroom door with a key every time was cumbersome. A more traditional breakfast on the premises would have been preferable to going down the road.
We had a wonderful weekend in Siena
Liked: Great location, very clean, responsive and helpful staff.
Disliked: Nothing!
Liked: Location and the lovely view from the balcony of Room Girasoles.
Disliked: The towels were only changed after 3 days.
Good location. Average stay
Liked: The location was excellent. There were some nice design features about the room and it had a lovely view
Disliked: We did not have towels ready for us. This room had an external bathroom which was not particularly clear when booking. The staff were quite argumentative and were not brilliant communicators.
Liked: Loved the room, amazing views.
Disliked: No staff at the place to interact with. We were only there for a night but did not see anyone when we arrived at 6 or in the morning at 7:30 when we left for the airport. Could have used help getting a taxi, but things worked out in the end.
