Inside the walls, near the Piazza del Campo and the cathedral, there are hotels in medieval buildings, guesthouses and apartments. You do everything on foot, although the streets are steep and car access is restricted.
Outside the walls
By the city gates and towards the station there are hotels with parking, convenient if you are travelling by car. From there you walk up to the centre or take the escalators.
Chianti
To the north, among vineyards and hills, there are plenty of agriturismi and country houses with pools. They are ideal for combining Siena with wineries and villages, always by car.
Monteriggioni
