really good stay at Hotel Borj Mogador <3
Liked: I liked the reception lady she was super sweet, the room was clean and bed is super comfy had storage to put all my stuff, bathroom was super clean, i had a really nice view from the balcony, i liked my night there, i had access to wifi and tv

Good place to start and find your bearings in Essaouira!
Liked: Staff at the hotel are great. Welcoming and professional. My room was cleaned every day too. Guys in the cafe downstairs are also very friendly, helpful and kind. It's roughly a 30 min walk to the beach and medina but all taxi journeys are 8 MAD, hence very cheap and a large supermarket, Carrefour, is just 10 mins walk from the hotel in the opposite direction.
Disliked: Although I knew the towels had been washed, everything is pretty old, so they're grey instead of white. Also, my room was on the first floor, at the front of the hotel, so the noise from the busy main road outside was constant and the tv in the downstairs cafe was so loud for the football it felt as if the match was being played in my room! There is a loud "ding dong" bell sound that goes off every time someone steps through the front door entrance, which was beneath my room. Very irritating! Surely this could be switched off at night?! Otherwise, everything was fine.
Liked: It was in a good location for being close to the surfing beaches and away from the Medina (30 min walk to Medina if you want to go). Cafe attached to hotel with breakfast for purchase. Had a balcony with ocean view. TV and wifi available in the room. Temperature of room was great.
Disliked: Noise was loud as it’s beside a reasonably busy street
