Fabulous
Absolutely perfect and authentic experience!
Liked: Our experience with this place was perfect! Our host was the nicest lady that help us with everything we need and made us feel very welcome. Your booking the whole floor so there a lot of space and also kitchen, so perfect for longer stays where you want to enjoy quiet evening in this beautiful space.

The riad is in a perfect location, right in the heart of the Medina. Everything is within easy reach: cafes, the beach

Liked: Excellent location in the heart of Essaouira and still quiet. Our host picked us up when arrived by bus and this we really appreciated as it's not always easy to locate an accommodation as they often don't indicate the exact street address.

Really authentic experience, but don't look for comfort. Had smell problems during our stay
Liked: The location is great - close to (a bit too expensive, 70 MAD for 24h) parking and at the same time in the center of medina. Wonderful for discovering the old town. Suitable for people who are looking for a really authentic experience - an appartment without a roof where neighbours have windows to your "living room". (The neighbours are nice and considerate; you can hear them, but they won't be looking out of the window to see what you're doing.) A lot of air, sounds and even birds, kind of like camping. WiFi was ok.
Disliked: The place was damp and really worn out - the tap in the bathroom was not working properly and left the water dripping if not careful enough. The toilet smelled. There was mold in the bedrooms (we got an allergic reaction), there was plaster falling from the ceilings and walls and some of it was in my child's bed between the sheets on our arrival. But the worst of all was the terrible smell of smoking. We could not use the living room, it smelled so bad. We actually left two nights earlier than planned because the smell was unbearable and the place was just miserable. The owner told us that they had had a smoking guest before us and I could have told him about the smell earlier (actually he noticed that himself when handing over the keys), then he could have ordered a cleaning service. Well, I hope it is possible to get rid of that smell, because at the current state it is not healthy to stay there. We booked for 4 nights, but left after 2. Also there were no towels. None.
