  Liked: Decent location, good price nice staff

  Disliked: The double bed was made out of 2 beds so it kept sliding away when trying to cuddle with my partner

  Software glitch meant the TV kept coming on in the night - no sleep and no help from staff

  Disliked: On the first night of my stay, from about 4am, the TV in my room started coming on with the white-backgrounded welcome screen, either in my name or the name of another guest. If I turned it off, it came back on again about 10 minutes later. The remote was sitting on the desk, so wasn't being turned on accidentally. Taking the keycard out of the charging socket had no effect on the TV and, as there was a wooden unit surrounding the screen, there was no way of pulling out a cable or switching it off manually. Because of the brightness of the white screen, and the fact that some items moved and the light varied, it was completely impossible to sleep. After an hour of trying to find solutions, I went to the registration desk and rang the bell. The person on duty said that he would report it, but could do nothing until the receptionist came in at 6am. I eventually found a TV option (the account settings page) which did not automatically turn off and was mainly black, and weighted down the runner from the bottom of the bed so that it hung over and covered up the non-black part of the screen, so I was finally able to get a bit of sleep. In the morning, the receptionist said that they had reported it to the technical team, but there was nothing more that they could do until the manager arrived, which hadn't happened by the time that I left for my meeting. When I returned in the evening, the manager was not there either. Fortunately, it didn't happen again on the second night, however, I was somewhat nervous and still didn't sleep well. I sent an email and used the online form to complain, but have not received a response to either message. I have never left a bad review before on Booking.com but my stay was a really poor experience.

  disappointing

  Liked: parking underground and easy.

  Disliked: Room was small, tired, dirty, badly lit, TV came on randomly in the morning. overall this hotel needs a full rework and remodel - new carpets, new cleaning company. will never stay in a Bastion again.

  Dirty towels

  Disliked: All of the towels had yellow/brown stains on them. Not small, but big, clearly visible stains. On each single one of them. Considering the position in the outskirts of Utrecht and the hygiene, not worth the price.

  Dirty, very dirty

  Disliked: Just dirty, when walking in the hotel area there was a family of rats running out. The elevator had dust, used chewing gum and other things on the floor and so on.

  Nice place for a quick visit

  Liked: Clean and quiet room, great breakfast, comfortable parking. It's not n the centre but well connected via public transport and right off the highway.
