  Perfect location, good service from friendly staff, but mind the stairs

  Liked: The location is very convenient, quite in the middle of city life in Utrecht but still quiet enough at night. I had a pleasant welcome, and the opportunity to leave luggage after check-out is quite convenient. My room was on the first floor, looking out over the square below, with generous windows to let in the light. But also possible to screen off with dark curtains for sleeping. When arriving, I was helped to carry my large suitcase up the steep and narrow stairs - thank you! Be aware of this, especially if you get a room on the second floor. I managed to carry my suitcase down by myself, but the stairs are a real challenge. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom practical with a walk-in shower. All in all, a good experience - though perhaps a little pricey (partly because of the 10 % city tax).

  Disliked: Nothing to complain about, but as I noted - be aware of the stairs. It is a bit of a walk to the railway station, but not too difficult to manage.

  Liked: Well located hotel with beautifully designed rooms. Smooth arrival process including the opportunity to check in early which was well-received after a longhaul flight from Australia

  Disliked: My room was literally on the street with a glass shopfront. There were curtains and potplants for privacy / screening but it did take some getting used to, particularly at night

  Stylish fun central location in historic city centre with vibrant night life from nearby bars & restaurants

  Liked: stylish & convenient

  Disliked: no mechanical ventilation system or fans, therefore only way to get air circulation to exhaust humidity from shower etc was to crack a window open. However the noise from the area was very loud and made sleeping very difficult- even with windows & curtains closed. curtains
