  Save your money and stay somewhere else where actually value cleanliness and respect you!

  Liked: Only the location

  Disliked: We recently stayed for 7 nights at Utrecht City Apartments, costing nearly €1400, and it was a thoroughly disappointing and unhygienic experience from start to finish. The list of issues we encountered is unacceptable for any accommodation: -Dirty and smelly linens: We were given dirty towels twice, and even the supposedly "clean" ones were of terrible quality and had a foul smell. To top it off, when we finally got replacement towels after asking multiple times, one of them was dirty again, which is completely disgusting. -Lack of cleanliness: The apartment was not properly prepared. The sofa was full of crumbs from previous visitors (which I had to clean myself), and even the kitchen dishes were not properly washed and required cleaning before use. We asked them to clean the sofa and the room, but they ignored us again, so I cleaned the sofa myself in order to use it and make it less disgusting. Unfortunately, I cleaned the sofa before taking photos of it, as my primary need after a long day of work was just to sit somewhere clean. -Broken Amenities: The shampoo pump in the bathroom was broken and never fixed. Management completely ignored us throughout our 7-night stay. The apartment was never cleaned, the sofa was never serviced, and basic supplies like fresh shampoo were never provided. -Appalling management & customer service: When we requested basic necessities like clean towels, we had to ask repeatedly, only to be handed dirty items. After raising a formal complaint, management offered an insulting "gesture of goodwill" refund of just €82 (50% of one night) out of a €1400 total stay. When we pointed out how inadequate this was, they completely ghosted us and failed to even process that meager refund. Management clearly takes their guests' comfort lightly and offers zero accountability. Save your money and stay somewhere that actually values cleanliness and customer service, and basically respects you.

  Canal splendour

  Liked: We loved the position, close to shops and beautiful view of the canal.

  Amazing Staff. Excellent stay. Going to stay again soon

  Liked: whats apped the lady 30 minutes before and she arrived as I did. A couple of issues with shower and tv remote but seen too very quickly

  Disliked: It said there was an iron which there was in the general laundry room. I prefer one in my apartment

  Liked: The apartment is about a five-minute walk from the city centre. Check-in is flexible. The apartment was spacious, comfortable and clean. The bed was comfortable, and the kitchen was well equipped with a coffee machine, kettle and dishwasher. A washing machine and an iron are also available in the communal area. Reasonable value for money.

  Disliked: I had just one issue: although the neighbourhood is quiet, I stayed in a ground-floor apartment close to the main entrance. Every time someone came or went, the force of the main door closing made my apartment door rattle. This was particularly disturbing at night and in the early hours of the morning. The walls are also very thin, so I could hear every sound from the hallway.

  A lovely place to stay in Utrecht

  Liked: The location was perfect and it was very clean. Our stay was really nice.

  Disliked: It was confusing to figure out how to check in. I got automated messages giving options for check in and a phone number to call but the number didn’t connect. We could have just showed up at the address to check in but the instructions made it more confusing. Also the AI system asked for all of our personal details which I thought was not supposed to be shared this way.
