  We enjoyed an excellent stay in this house. Highly recommended!

  Liked: We enjoyed an exellent stay for 12 nights here in August 2024 with three children, ages 9 through 13. The host, Catarina, gave us a personal and warm welcome upon arrival. She even provided a basket with some local food and a bottle of wine! The house is just a few years old and is situated a bit further on a hill, with nice views towards the hillside and ocean. It takes about 5 to 10 minutes by car to reach the ocean itself. The neighbourhood is very quiet, also during the evening and night. The house comes with a private parking space. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Every sleeping room and the living room has AC, which worked very well, but you might only need in the summer. The kitchen is well equipped and the beds are very comfortable. Every sleeping room has more storage then you will ever need. We liked that there are multiple pillows per bed, which range from soft to hard. There are even amenities like soap in the showers and towels. There is a seperate room for storage, which also has a washing machine and dryer. This is ideal for a longer stay. The outside area runs completely around the house itself, providing more then enough outside space. The jacuzzi is a nice bonus. We used it almost every day. When the jacuzzi needed cleaning, a quick message to Catarina sufficed for a cleaning the next morning. Because we had a longer stay (12 night), Catarina even scheduled in an extra cleaning inside the house, clean bedding and new towels halfway through our stay. There is a good size supermarket nearby, about 1 minute by car or a 5 minute walk. It basically has everthing you need. We would gladly stay here again.

  Disliked: Nothing major. Just take into account that the view this house has towards the ocean and hillside, is limited to the kitchen, the living room and the terrace where the jacuzzi is situated. For us, this was more than adequate, since these are the places you stay and use the most. Also the lighting inside the house is not dimmable, which can give a less 'cosy' feel during the evening when sitting in the living room. You can switch a part of the lights off though. But again, these are all minor points that would certainly not deter us from booking here a second time.

  Lovely stay with friends in a spacious house

  Liked: Spacious and clean The outdoor area is perfect for summer evenings Barbecue and jacuzzi are a big plus

  Disliked: The water pressure was very low which made showering almost impossible Travel time to some of the highlights on the island is quite significant

  An awesome place for an awesome vacation

  Liked: It was spacious, clean, welcoming, we had everything we needed. We had parking spaces for all 3 cars (as we were 3 families). The outside jacuzzi was a delight.

  Disliked: The only thing that truly bothered us was the water flow in the showers. But we still managed to shower.

  Liked: The house is very spacious, superbly equiped. It's located close to the trails in the central/western part of the island. The hot tub was perfect for regeneration:) We would definetely select it again.

  Liked: What a lovely stay! Our greeter, Catarina, was so pleasant and helpful, easy to communicate with. A selection of local products as a compliment upon arrival, was a nice touch, as you could enjoy and relax right away. There is a small bar across the street and a supermarket in 4 mins walking distance, where you could find basically everything you need + cafeteria where you can dine in or take away. We used to grab sandwiches there before hiking. The property is so well equipped - beyond standard set (like, two types of coffemachine, hairstraightener etc) - and everything is in excellent condition. Private parking, good road leading to the house, amazing sunset from the terrace. Out of the places we stayed in Madeira, this is by far the best one.

  Disliked: You may lack a bit of privacy, as the neighbor houses are pretty close from one side and the bus stop/road from another. However it's a kind of far-fetched minus:) we really enjoyed our stay!
