  Wonderful little retreat

  Liked: We went late June after the property management changed hands. The new managers made great efforts to inform us of changes and what they had done to make improvements in time for our stay. They needed to fix the door to the rooftop while we were there and communicated all of this ahead of time. The property is really lovely. We went for a relaxing few days and were happy to be somewhere quiet with an amazing view. Would return.

  Disliked: The town doesn't have much, so make sure to hit up the supermarket on your way to the area. I recommended including some pods for the coffee machine would be a welcome addition plus some extra pillows. But all in all we were very happy with our stay and the communication with Filipa and the management team.

  Accommodation images aren't update, will not recommend

  Liked: The only good thing was the pool and the view with the sound of the wave. The kitchen was well equiped.

  Disliked: Have in mind that it has 3 levels with stairs. The rooftop was dirty at our arrival, the only chairs available weren't functionals, even if we notified it, nothing was done. The rooftop door is very heavy to open or close ( we were notified at our arrival ). My companion had his two fingers crushed by it by night 3 while closing it and being careful, since the door is very heavy and the closing had to be done while being on a staircase. The room was outdated, the sofa had a bad smell, the floor was dirty on corner,with spider web everywhere. It would have been appreciate of the kitchen had salt, oil for basic cooking. The bed was unconfortable and with humitidy and cockroach on last floor.

  A perfect oceanfront stay in Madeira - Amazing festive season in the cutest village

  Liked: We absolutely loved our time at this ocean facing home. The view alone is worth the trip: wide open, calming, and truly stunning at every hour of the day. The house is thoughtfully equipped with everything you might need, including cooking oil, salt, sugar, coffee, and all the basics that make settling in effortless. One of the unexpected highlights was the location. It is just a two minute walk to a fantastic restaurant that even offers two proper vegan meal options, not the usual burger or fast food fallback but genuinely delicious cooked dishes. The pool was another favourite. From early afternoon onward, the sun hits the water perfectly, making it the ideal spot to relax, swim, and soak in the scenery. We could not have asked for a better base in Madeira. Highly recommended.

  I wouldn’t recommend this property but only because of the cockroaches

  Liked: Premises itself was as expected. Compact with everything you needed. Lovely roof top area with sea views and small pool.

  Disliked: Cockroaches on my bed at night. I’m not terribly fussy but I draw the line when woken by a cockroach on my hand in the middle of the night. Was meant to stay for 3 nights left after 1.
