  Nice & quiet in late October

  Liked: Location. Rooftop restaurant. Clean room. View from balcony of ocean & Cliffs (406). Nice breakfast

  Disliked: Not really their fault. Booking allowed us to book on the same date as another reservation. It took until we arrived to be sure we had a second night stay. They did honor the same rate.

  Liked: ​Our stay at Carvi Beach Hotel Algarve was wonderful. The location could not be better: Praia Dona Ana is right around the corner and the stunning panoramic clifftop walking trails start right next to the hotel. It is also an easy, pleasant 15 minute walk directly into the historic downtown of Lagos. ​Our room had a lovely partial ocean view and the breakfast patio offered incredible panoramic views all around. The breakfast itself was great, with plenty of delicious options that were constantly refilled throughout the morning. ​A fantastic base for exploring the Algarve coast. We would definitely stay here again!

  Disliked: The guests in the rooms next to us and directly below were smoking on their balconies and the smoke traveled straight into our room. One morning I woke up because of the smoke drifting in, and another night we had to keep our balcony door shut tight to keep it out. Stronger enforcement of non-smoking policies on the balconies would greatly improve the stay.

  Cavi Beach Hotel - Gem!

  Liked: Great location, steps from the ocean. Rooms where clean and spacious. Roof top pool was very nice! Staff was courteous and very helpful.

  Liked: Location was great! Right next to the beach with free parking in front of the hotel. The place was clean despite showing its age.

  Disliked: The property was worn out. They did a good job keeping it clean but the room showed its age in cracked tiles, peeling floor, mildew in the bathroom, old plastic breaking with little touch. There no insulation so hall activities are loud, and trucks dumping trash in the parking lot were very loud. Paid for a side ocean view and ended up with a room overlooking the parking lot with just a glimpse of the ocean. There was a very strong odor to the cleaning chemicals used. Also the restaurant is very overpriced and trying too hard to be fancy.

  Would stay here again. Wonderful

  Liked: On the beach Close to boardwalk and old down town Wonderful views.

  Disliked: As a couple we don’t like the two single mattresses pushed together to make a double bed. The crack is uncomfortable.
