  Charming host & lovely old building

  Liked: Jose is a lovely host. He advised us on where to park on the street, luckily free for us as it was a Saturday evening & all parking in Portalegre is free then through till Sunday morning. He recommended we visit the Tapestry Museum on Sunday morning which is beautiful & very interesting. The museums are all free to visit on Sunday morning! The hostel is in a wonderful old building, slightly scruffy but delightful to those who appreciate such a place. Very good value. We loved it.

  Perfect

  Liked: To visit an old city is already exciting. And what is more: to stay in an old house in an old city. If you want to be lucky just go to Portalegre and stay in Hostel Portalegre: an old very authentic house with a nice atmosphere and a very friendly owner in the middle of the old town. And all this for a very reasonable price. Muito obrigado!
