Exceptional
Magical property with even more incredible staff
Liked: Armie, the woman tending to our stay, made the experience for us. She is so warm and hospitable. Makes a FANTASTIC coconut cake (I want the recipe!). Gave great recommendations. And always met us with a smile upon our return. Our only regret is not having taken her up on her home cooked dinner. We will come back if for no other reason than to be around her and be taken care of by her.
Disliked: The bed in our room was a little hard.
If you don’t care about convenience to get to Sintra, it’s a great place to stay
Liked: Beautiful and nestled in the forest. A real retreat. The grounds are stunning. It is close to the palace, but you have to take a bus or walk uphill for 40 minutes.
Disliked: It is very inconvenient to get back to Sintra from the guest house. The slanted roofs are tricky on the 2nd floor.
Liked: We liked everything. The location, the accommodation, great food and Amazing staff.
Good spot and great meals in evenings
Liked: Very friendly staff, especially Arnie. Nice quiet relaxed location. Evening meals prepared by Arnie, very delicious.
Disliked: Would be nice to have tea/ coffee facilities in the rooms. Pool is great but not very long. Pillow selection would be nice. Provided ones not v comfortable.
Great reception and all details were covered before arriving. Breakfast was delicious
Liked: The grounds were beautiful and the building was nicely decorated. Breakfast was amazing. The staff were really friendly and took care of every little detail
Disliked: Nothing
Come for the hospitality and stay for the home baked treats
Liked: Everything was amazing. We parked the car once we arrived and walked to all the attractions and to town from the Villa, thereby escaping all the crowds and enjoying the surrounding forest paths at the same time. The saltwater pool to relax was the cherry on top. We felt like we were visiting friends.
