  Liked: I had a wonderful stay. The place is beautiful, surrounded by nature, with a lovely garden and a peaceful atmosphere, while still being close to the city centre. The staff were amazing, always welcoming and helpful. I loved the room decoration, the personalised breakfast, and the delicious food at the restaurant. The sunset views from the garden balcony were breathtaking. It’s a perfect place to relax and enjoy the charm of Sintra. I would definitely love to come back!

  A Charming Stay in a Perfect Location!

  Liked: Everything was perfect! The staff were super friendly, and the location was excellent, just a short walk from Quinta da Regaleira and around 15 minutes from the city centre. The garden was beautiful, and I really enjoyed the delicious breakfast served at the in-house restaurant. Having parking available was a great bonus. Although it was a bit of a walk from the parking area to the property, the path through the lovely garden made the walk enjoyable and added to the charm of the place. I really loved it and would happily recommend this place, if you a nature lover.

  Liked: The hotel is nestled in the woods while also being very close to the centre. It provides a unique experience of 19th century Sintra. The staff is very helpful and helped with arranging all the visits. A little jewel in Sintra.

  Disliked: The access was a little difficult but it was easy to show the booking to the police and get a pass. It is worth the trouble as once you get a pass you feel like a priviledged guest to Sintra.

  Liked: Location. Very friendly staff. Room decor very nice. Free parking

  Disliked: Service at breakfast was very very slow and quantity of food at breakfast was minimal. Coffee and cooked food arrived cold and the breakfast price was quite high considering what was offered. Manual check in at reception is very slow, I recommend using the online check-in option which is offered.

  Comfort in tranquil surroundings with attentive service

  Liked: Lovely peaceful and quiet location surrounded by gardens. Very handy if visiting Quinta de Regaleria which is only 5min fairly flat walk away. Free carpark for guests further down the road from the hotel. Staff are all very friendly and helpful. Delightful breakfast can be ordered which is served to your table in the small restaurant including eggs to order, charcuterie, cereal, yoghurt, warm breads/pastries, fresh squeezed juice, fresh fruit platter and hot beverages. Also had a lovely lunch at the tables outside on the cobblestones by the trees. Room 5 was spacious with a roomy bathroom, small sitting area and views of the township below.

  Disliked: Sintra in general is not the easiest to negotiate by car particularly if you miss a turnoff so ensure you follow GPS with care and a smaller vehicle is preferable for narrow lanes. A few minor suggestions for improvement that in no way detracted from our choice to stay: Some milk or creamer in the room to go with the coffee/tea would be nice. The minibar list needs an update as several things were missing? Other useful room amenities would be face cloths and a box of tissues.
