Exceptional
Liked: Location, hotel decor and the breakfast
Underwhelming but not terrible
Liked: The location was quiet. The room I was moved to was a vast improvement from the first.
Disliked: The room I was initially put in had mould, a really musty smell and sticky floors. Due to the age of the building and the dining hall being underneath the room, and the main stairs along side the room, there was constant noise and vibration from people walking around which made it very hard to relax. However when I complained to the manager, I was moved to a much better room. Still a little noise, but not so bad.
Great location, comfort and breakfast
Liked: Very friendly staff, cozy room with unique decoration, clean. Delicious breakfast! We could take the public bus or the Sintra 434 shuttle to go to the Palace near the house!
Disliked: The house was noisy because the walls and doors are thin and let noise pass through. You could hear people talking outside the room.
A lovely stay, in the style of Murder, She Wrote
Liked: An elegant building with distinctive yet fun décor (it felt as if we were in “Murder She wrote”) A good location for visiting the main attractions. The staff were very friendly; they gave us a mini-guide to tourist attractions, public transport and restaurants.
Disliked: Breakfast lacked variety and featured non-artisan products. There was a rather excessive selection of bed linen; as it was far too heavy for October, we were forced to sleep with the windows wide open.
Beautiful relaxing stay
Liked: Gorgeous property, great for a short getaway - clean, comfortable and stylish. High levels of security. Team were lovely and breakfast was amazing.
Disliked: My only feedback is there was no instructions to check out, which was the same with another guest. And check in we had to phone several times to get in to the property. So could be an issue for someone who could not use their phone abroad.
Liked: Very good location: it is so close to all the touristic attractions in Sintra. Easy to reach by bus or car from the historical city center. The facility has a nice pool to chill in hot summer days. Breakfast is good enough. The facility has a living room with a library and several board games.
Disliked: Since the facility is an old structure, there is odd smell. Bathroom was a bit small.
