  Liked: Beautiful old house in a garden setting. We came to do the ecopista and it was located right next to it.

  Quaint rustic Portuguese home stay

  Liked: Quaint home stay feel which had a true representation of the area, all amenities are present (no washer dryer but laundrette 5mins walk away), safe onsite parking, twin bed room, ground floor annex to main house with own entrance and use of garden if wished. Pedro and Lucky the dog made us feel most welcome (sadly Pedro the Japanese restaurant recommended has closed down), but other eateries are a walking distance from property and old historic quarter 15min walk away but up hill.

  Disliked: Not a dislike just a advisory - this is a quirky rustic Portuguese home stay, it’s not the Ritz yes it can be cold it’s a stone building but blankets supplied, it may present as tired for some, a new build box home it is not, from this property you gain a true reflection of a heartfelt Portuguese welcome.

  I will be back!

  Liked: This place is so charming and having a kitchen and fireplace made it very nice.

  Disliked: The bed is a bit too firm for me, it that is personal preference.

  Great location. Friendly easy stay. Building with a history

  Liked: Lovely location and grounds. Pedro was friendly and gave us great advice for where to eat. The facilities were just what we needed. Secure parking. Lucky the dog was lovely too!

  Disliked: The one thing that was missing was a sharp knife to peel oranges.
