  Restoration at its best

Liked: The hosts were wonderful and friendly from beginning to end of stay. The breakfasts cooked by Arold were delicious-fresh and varied daily. Alienka showed us around the entire building and filled us in on the history of the place which was fascinating. Their renovation of this old historical premise is a credit to them and you can tell by speaking to them how much it has meant. If you are interested in the history of a building and enjoy the stories behind it all this is the place to stay. Highly recommended 👌

Disliked: Although we were always lucky to get parking spot this could be a small problem, very narrow streets and lots of cars...

A perfect place to experience the real Gran Canaria. Wonderful hosts, would visit again

Liked: A beautiful restored property, very nicely decorated and furnished and comfy too. Perfect location in the old town. Breakfast is served on the roof with superb views, idyllic. Food is prepared specially with excellent coffee.

Disliked: There was nothing to not like

Beautiful sunny terrace and warm welcome

Liked: We had a lovely stay. The terrace is a highlight with beautiful views over the town and toward the sea. Fantastic friendly hosts and a good breakfast. The room is simple but comfortable. Ingenio is a traditional and authentic Canarian village with very few tourists. A pleasant 25 minute walk to Aguimes.

Disliked: There are steep steps to the room and no lift, as is typical for old buildings. No pool. Many restaurants were closed and it’s difficult to get transport (even taxis) over Easter. This isn’t the responsibility of the property, but we weren’t told in advance to expect these issues, as we could have planned around it.

The perfect place to return to after a long day of hiking

Liked: We stayed in the Deluxe Suite with Spa Bath for about 10 days and had a wonderful stay. The suite is a separate little house in the garden, which makes it feel very private and cozy. After long days of hiking it was perfect to come back, relax in the jacuzzi and enjoy the peaceful garden. The location in Ingenio is excellent if you want to experience a quieter and more authentic town away from the busy tourist areas. It is also a great base for exploring the island and going on hikes. Breakfast was fantastic, with freshly prepared warm dishes every morning. A big thank you to the hosts, Arold and Alienka, who were incredibly welcoming and gave us great recommendations for hikes and restaurants that we really enjoyed. Overall it felt like a small home away from home.

Disliked: Only very small practical things: due to the humidity (which is common in the area), clothes can take quite a long time to dry and there is no washing machine on site, so we used a nearby laundromat. Nights in February can also be a bit cool and the stone floors get cold, so bringing slippers is a good idea.
