Modern oasis in the heart of Basel with a fun rooftop restaurant

Liked: I really didn't know what to expect and was pleasantly surprised! The room was quite modern and sleek - very clean and well appointed. The rooftop restaurant was really fun and the staff was professional and made us feel really welcome and well cared for. Great location to public transportation, despite being in a walking zone, really just a few steps from taxis and trams and made for a quieter, non-traffic area which was really nice.

Disliked: The flat fee for breakfast is always something I try to avoid as I'm a light eater in the morning! But it was very good - just not a good value for me personally. The restaurant is also a separate business, so it was a little confusing upon check-out to have two bills to settle. Again, not an issue at all, but just good to be aware of. Overall a really perfect place to explore Basel!

Liked: The hotel is ideally located 10 minutes on foot from the central train station and within a short walk to town centre, sights and multiple tram stops. My room was beautifully appointed, huge and spotless. I booked a medium room and it was much larger than expected with a super comfortable bed! The bathroom products were luxurious and minibar was entirely free. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Even the lady who ran the breakfast area was so lovely. The breakfast was super delicious, healthy and had a wide selection of beautiful local produce. It was a great way to start the day on the rooftop especially with the morning sun streaming in!

Disliked: The street the hotel is on is quite lively and the soundproofing isn’t great. There is also currently construction nearby and I was woken up at 7.30am by heavy drilling, but I suppose this is (hopefully) temporary.

The hotel is right in the middle of things:D

Liked: The location is perfect, you are right on the main street, and the parking is 2-4 minutes away. The hotel itself is clean and modern. Rooms with balcony, free mini bar!

  Disliked: Everything was ok!
