Liked: Spotlessly clean. Easy to find - right next to a tram stop. I stayed in one of the attic rooms but it was a good size. There is a good Italian restaurant below the hotel if you are tired and don't want to travel far! The place had a nice atmosphere.

Disliked: Couldn't find anyone at reception to check out so had to leave the key on the counter!

Walkable convenient neighborhood with plenty of cafes and eateries

Liked: The area had a neighborhood feel to it and the property was very close to many tram stops. The SBB train station was less than 10 minutes away.

Disliked: The elevator stops on a landing rather than on the floor, and I had to walk up around 8 steps with luggage—which I found odd in an architectural sense. All else was fine.

Liked: Basel is worth a visit

Disliked: I asked the hotel if I could leave my luggage with them before check in as I had a piece of heavy luggage and was arriving approximately 3 hours before check in. They absolutely refused.

  Will stay again

Liked: Very good sized room and bathroom. Great location on a nice square, not far from the river.

Disliked: I felt the fact that there was no security with a 24 hour reception meant that anyone could come in and use the lift to go upstairs to the bedroom area. For me, a woman travelling alone, it felt a bit unsafe.
