Liked: Good size room for two people, lovely to have a garden and be able to cook. Supermarket close by.

Disliked: Bit of a walk to public transport but neighbourhood is pleasant so not a problem, just a bit of extra time needed.

My nostalgic return to Basel, where I lived nearly 50 years ago, was delightful

Liked: Breakfast was not provided, but the coffee machine was excellent, and cafés and foodshops were close by. Connection to the centre by tram was quick and convenient, but the walk along the bank of the Rhine was also very pleasant. Restaurants in Birsfelden were excellent.

  Disliked: Nothing, really!
