  Very friendly and comfortable hotel right by the river

  Liked: The location is absolutely wonderful, right by the river and very close to the Rote Rathaus. The staff was very friendly and helpful, we had free juice, coke and water in the room.

  Liked: Everything about our stay at Hotel Merian in Basel was wonderful. The rooms were spotlessly clean, and the service was excellent from start to finish. The staff were extremely friendly, professional, efficient, and always happy to help with any request. The hotel also offers a beautiful view of the Rhine, which made the experience even more special. A fantastic hotel, excellent service, and a truly enjoyable stay. Highly recommended! We would definitely come back!

  Great location and hotel

  Liked: The room was a corner room and quite large. The beds were very comfortable. We had a partial view of the river from one side. he location was right across the river from the older town, so you got to enjoy the view of the older buildings with a small walk to actually visit it. Perfect!

  Disliked: We didn't realize there was a festival along the waterfront for the two days that we were there. That was a little loud until 10pm. Fortunately, they have rules around how late parties can go so it wrapped up.
