  Liked: Amazing Apartment with insane view over Eiger North Face. Everything was great, superb little patio with outstanding view. Host was great offered lift from the station. I ended up no needed but option is always there. It’s 11/10 stay. Thank you!

  A nice experience living in a chalet and surrounded by beautiful mountain views

  Liked: Big apartment with own kitchen. Nice living room and bathtub. The view is fantastic! Clean, quite, you can iron your clothes and sit outside to enjoy the view. Owner is nice. She offered a ride to the terminal. 😊

  amazing stay!

  Liked: Our stay at Chalet Aiiny was amazing! The chalet had everything we needed, including a fully equipped kitchen that made cooking easy and enjoyable. It was cozy, comfortable, welcoming, and very clean. The location was perfect, with a beautiful view of the Eiger, and it was also conveniently close to grocery stores. We truly loved our time there and would definitely recommend Chalet Aiiny to others!

  Liked: An absolutely exceptional and unforgettable stay at Chalet Aiiny. Ms Yasuyo Ando is a truly outstanding host - so warm, thoughtful, and welcoming from the very beginning. She very kindly offered to pick us up from Grindelwald station and drop us off, which made everything effortless and stress free. The home itself is immaculate, incredibly cozy, and beautifully designed, with breathtaking, unobstructed views of Eiger that exceeded all expectations. Waking up to that view each day was simply magical. The bedroom was especially cozy, making it easy to relax and get a great night’s rest, and the bathroom felt newly renovated - spotless, modern, and very well appointed. The kitchen was also well stocked, allowing us to cook comfortably and truly feel at home. It really was a perfect home away from home. Every detail was perfect, and you can really feel the care and hospitality put into this place. This was easily one of our best stays ever. We would return in a heartbeat and cannot recommend it highly enough to anyone visiting Grindelwald.

  Awesome, would stay again!

  Liked: 1. Accommodation was spacious and had everything we needed. I loved that we had the option of cooking breakfast and dinner ourselves instead of eating out (since it can get rather expensive), and the kitchen was fully stocked with all the seasonings we could possibly need. 2. View outside the chalet was incredible! You get to see snow-capped mountains every day the moment you look out the window (provided the skies are clear, of course). 3. Host was kind and friendly:) she even gave us a lift to the train station when we checked out. 4. Value for money.

  Disliked: 1. The chalet is a 10-min UPHILL CLIMB from Grindelwald Terminal, and some parts of the slope are incredibly steep. Not the most convenient if you don't have a car, especially if you're travelling with children or elderly who have difficulty walking... Tip for anyone planning to stay here: instead of attempting the uphill climb every day, take the train/bus to Grindelwald station and take bus 122 for 3 stops to Grindelwald, Tuftback. From there, it's a 6-min downhill walk to the accommodation. The path still gets a bit steep at times, though, so do watch your step. 2. Beds were a bit creaky, and showerhead was a bit wonky. Nothing deal-breaking, though!

How to reach the accommodations:

Drive on the Grindelwaldstrasse as far as the roundabout, take the second exit to Dorfstrasse. 164 feet after the petrol station, turn left into the Spillstattstrasse (underpassing). After approximately 984 feet turn left into the Salzmannseggstrasse. After 984 feet you will see the Chalet Aiiny on the left side (Wychelstrasse 9).Payment before arrival by bank transfer is required. The property will contact you after you book to provide instructions.
