  Gem of a hotel and good value for money

  Liked: Great hotel and fantastic value for money. The staff were absolutely lovely and the breakfasts were great with a lot of choice. Very close to the cathedral and viewing spots for amazing views over the city. Lake Geneva is a short metro ride away. For a solo female traveller the area doesn't feel completely safe walking back to at night but the metro stop is right outside the hotel and is a much better option than walking. The area was fine during the day.

  Liked: Location is convenient.

  Disliked: room cleanliness: the floors are carpeted, so those with allergies should choose carefully. The room gets very stuffy unless you open the window—but then you might find bugs on the bed.

  Liked: Our stay in Swiss Wine by Fassbind hotel was excellent. Comfortable and clean room and bathroom, our room was overlooking Cathedral (gorgeous at night), staff was extremely helpful, building has an elevator (not a minor factor for Travellers). We did not do a complete breakfast, just enjoyed coffee and fresh croissants. As a bonus, they sell local wines right there, in the lobby (good quality, reasonable prices and properly stored). We enjoyed our stay, highly recommended.
