  Convenient Location and Comfortable Stay

  Liked: The location was good, with a bus stop right next to the property. The bed was comfortable, and the place was quiet despite being close to a main avenue.

  Disliked: One thing to keep in mind is that the hand basin is located outside the bathroom, next to the bed. There is no air conditioning, only a fan.

  Nice place, good location, but be cautious of top floor rooms

  Liked: Staff is friendly and accommodating, and their English was very good. Water pressure is great and heats up quickly. The bus stop is right out front, with several frequent options to downtown. It's also only a direct 20-minute walk through very safe feeling streets and with only very simple directions. Everything was comfortable and clean. I received the City pass a day or so prior to check in, and it allows free use of public transport in town. The grocery store is just a few minutes walk. I like that there's a fan in the room, and a little desk/chair.

  Disliked: Only decaf coffee was provided. The window opens, but not very far. The ceiling is slanted at the top floor, so you have to be careful when you sit up in bed. The front desk staff was really friendly and accommodating, but basically discounted my concern about the door not locking (see below), telling me that it would lock after a little while but offering to check it for me to be sure. "Don't worry -- this is Switzerland. We've never had a problem. It's safe." Sometimes it was locked when I got back, and sometimes it was not. They were already aware of the problem before I reported it, but there appeared to be no urgency to get it fixed. That said, nobody walked in on me, or went through my things while I was out. The following issues were with the single room at the top (Room 31) with the seperate private bath, so just ignore the rest of this section if you're not in that room. The door would not lock (see above) -- it appears to lock from the inside, but it's false security because it can be opened right up from the outside The room has a toilet and sink in the room (separated by a pocket door), and the bath/shower is immediately across the hall. There's a separate key to get into the shower room, and it won't get you back into the main part of the room if the door happens to have locked, so be sure to bring both keys to the shower. You have to be about 5'6" (168cm) or shorter to be able to stand up in the shower, and there's really no place to hang anything in that room -- just a small shelf. I definitely would not stay in the single room with seperate private bath if you're tall or concerned about physical security (unless you first check with them to be sure the door locks were repaired).
