  An okay stay

  Liked: The apartment is equipped with the essential tools. The accommodation is close to the centre of the city/old town. That is good on the one hand. However, it’s next to a busy street which is audible.

  Disliked: The internet/wifi was not working, which is rather important when on a business trip. The bed linen was made of synthetic material and caused static electricity, which was uncomfortable.

  Liked: Central position, interesting duplex space with a nice garden

  Disliked: - The apartment has a big ventilation problem: there was no air and we have been strongly disturbed by a heavy smell of kitchen (fish, garlic, probably cooked by previous residents), so we had to sleep all night long with the doors and windows wide open, in despite of autumnal chill and traffic noise:( - I have got an unpleasant impression that the bed sheets were not fresh / unchanged from the previous stay … but it’s probably due to the bad fish smell, that impregnated any item in that living room (pillows, covers, towels, furniture etc.):(( - the terms and rules of this establishment are too much severe - you have to manage laundry, cleaning and waste evacuation by yourself, the fine of 300 € is applied if you clame any forgotten item, or 700 € if you loose the key:((( - There is no curtain on the upper windows - or there are broken - so you got the day light and the regards of passers-by all your stay long:(((( - The flat is agreed with a garden, but this has a synthetic grass on its soil - why spoil such a nice open space with an artificial ground??:((((( - The apartment is badly decorated with Buddhas, butterflies, flowers and all that pinky stuff - what Banksy is to do with all that?!? -looks like an inglorious speculation or awkward marketing trick - I haven’t really understood …

  Great location, good for 2 people and basic

  Liked: The location was great, right near the shopping and lake in Lugano. The outside area was also quite pleasant.

  Disliked: It is a studio and does not have a separate bedroom, which must not have been obvious to me when I booked it. Four of us were quite cramped in the one living area. The bathroom was a nice size. There were no kitchen basics like olive oil or salt and pepper. Also there was only one dish towel, no napkins and no paper towels, and when I requested these it was denied, they don’t supply. The owners should reconsider this. As it was ground level in the kitchen some gravel came in the sill along with a few ants from the window. I noticed this in the morning we left.

  Liked: Location was very good. Nice place for dining in accommodation and good kitchen with all necessary equipment. There was provided coffee capsules. Very big bathroom.

  Disliked: A little bit cramped for family with two teenagers.

  Good

  Liked: The accommodation is quite modern, with a spacious bathroom and a well-equipped kitchen. However, since the bed isn't in a separate room, it's rather a studio than an apartment. The location is perfect very near the city center. We also enjoyed the shady garden seating area.

  Disliked: The actual problem is the rental agency. Before arrival, you're greeted with instructions, rules and massive threats of absurd sums of money in case of non-fulfillment. Upon arrival, we discovered that the indicated network was not displayed on any device. Others did not work without password. That's why we had neither internet nor television at that time. Besides, the kettle's plug didn't fit the wall sockets. In addition, the capsules for the coffee machine were not available in any supermarket we visited. Since all the emails came from a noreply address and the Banksy email address posted on the apartment door didn't even exist, it was difficult to address our complaints. We didn't have a phone number either. It was only possible thanks to a coincitental phonecall regarding the parking the next morning. Their first reaction was an accusation that we are the only ones whose wifi is not working and that we are using the wrong contact. They also claimed they weren't willing to provide adapters for all foreign appliances. However, It was their own kettle with the wrong plug!!! Apparently they then sent someone over without making an appointment and afterwards accused us of not being there in the afternoon. Completely incomprehensible and unacceptable. Towards the evening of the second day, someone came by to verify the deficiencies. We were then finally given a new router, an adapter for the kettle, and a standard coffee maker (although it leaked). We wanted to spend a relaxing holiday and had some unnecessary trouble. Why not solve the problems before the guests move in?
