Excellent stay in a modern building in a quiet, convenient location

Liked: We stayed for three nights at ICON H Lugano – Luxury Suites & Apartments and had a wonderful experience. The room was modern, elegant, spacious, and very comfortable, while the building itself was beautiful, well-maintained, and offered a luxurious atmosphere. The location is excellent, in the lovely neighborhood of Viganello, which is quiet and pleasant while offering easy access to public buses connecting you to Lugano city center and the lake. There are also supermarkets nearby, making it very convenient for everyday needs. Another great advantage is the sushi restaurant located in the basement, adding extra convenience to the stay. Gym also in the basement is a very decent option for those who want to exercise. The cleaning ladies are very friendly and helpful. The instructions provided by the team are through what's app, very clear and to the point. Overall, a fantastic choice combining comfort, quality, and an excellent location. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend it to anyone visiting Lugano!

Disliked: Although the property is excellent and offers a very warm and spacious lounge, the lack of a toilet or access to the gym's toilet is something that should be addressed. Given that check-out is at 10:00 a.m., which is quite early, access to a toilet after check-out would be very helpful and would significantly improve the overall guest experience.

Disliked: The sofa-bed was not ready for the night so we had to prepare the bed for the night, I would suggest to have it ready

Liked: I really enjoyed my stay at Icon H Hotel. The room was beautiful, modern, very comfortable and surprisingly spacious. The entire building is well maintained, well designed and very clean. The location is also great. Although it's not right in downtown Lugano, it's still quite central, more residential and close to all essential services. It's not far from the city centre. One thing worth mentioning is the bed. I didn't notice from the pictures but it's actually a fold-down bed that comes out of the wall. However, even when the bed is down, the room remains spacious and comfortable. The only difference is that you lose the little living room setup with the sofa, which I personally didn't mind. Overall, I was very pleased with the room and the property itself.

Disliked: The only downside was a temporary Wi-Fi outage that lasted around 45 minutes, combined with issues with my mobile roaming, I lost all connectivity and I couldn't use my key to go out from my room. Since room access is managed entirely through an app rather than a physical key, and you need internet connection to use the app, I couldn't leave my room until the technical issue in the entire building (restaurant included) was sorted. It was an unfortunate situation, but I would recommend making sure your mobile data works properly before arriving. Otherwise, a lovely stay!
