  A budget-friendly option for a short stay, but worth considering other hotels if your budget allows

  Liked: The hotel is conveniently located, within easy walking distance of the train station and main district, making it easy to get around.

  Disliked: We could still hear people talking and walking past outside, even with the windows closed, so the soundproofing could be improved

  Fabulous location, great views

  Liked: Loved this hotel. It is basically a hostel but they have private rooms too. Come out of the side entrance of the station and Hotel Bahnhof is right in front of you. It is also close to the Gornergrat station. It’s literally a minute or two on foot to cafes, restaurants, shops and a supermarket where you can buy supplies or prepared meals. Downstairs from reception you will find a nice lounge area, well equipped share kitchen and a laundry. I can’t comment on the dorm rooms but our double room was a good size. We were so happy to have a balcony and view of the Matterhorn. We did have to share a bathroom but there is a sink in the room. The bathroom and toilet were very clean. The bed was comfy and the WiFi was good. Be aware there is no lift but we are in our 70’s and managed. Agi (?) gave us a warm welcome and was so helpful. She gave us the best advice for the Gornergrat Raikway and it made our trip truly memorable. Going at 7 a.m. is early but it was so worth it. The sunrise falling on the Matterhorn was magnificent and there was hardly anyone about. We would definitely recommend Hotel Bahnhof and if we ever return to Zermatt, that’s where we will be staying. Thank you so much for a great 3 nights

  Liked: Everything is great. Although I am a bit sick during the trip, the bed is warm enough for me to take a good rest.

  Disliked: No lift so it is a bit clumsy to have my luggage going up and down.

  Great room and location

  Liked: They accommodated our needs for a lower floor room. Very close to train station and places to eat as well as Coop grocery store.

  Disliked: Liked everything. Stayed in a two bed private room with sink in room and bathroom shower next to it. It was perfect for our needs.

  Great place in downtown Zermatt for a reasonable price and comfortable accommodations

  Liked: We had a party of four that was comfortably accommodated by our room choice. The kitchen was an added benefit and the location was ideal for exploring the streets and sites of Zermatt. Thank you.
