  Great base for exploring Zurich

Liked: The hotel is within walking distance to the Zurich Oerlikon train station, and there is a tram & bus stop nearby, so getting around is no problem. (We found that booking our accommodation at Oerlikon & travelling into the city was more economical than staying in the city centre. They also sell transport tickets at the front desk, which we found quite useful.) There are also a number of good places to eat nearby - we were very impressed with Banh Mi Bao just around the corner. All staff we met were friendly, polite and helpful. Our room was quite spacious and even though it overlooked the street it was not too noisy, and the air-conditioning was a great relief from the hot weather during our stay. Breakfasts were quite good - a good range of foods to choose from, although portion control was diligently monitored. The breakfast room was never crowded during our stay. We were very happy to have chosen this hotel for our short stay in Zurich.

Good option, even you have business in Zurich:)

Liked: Nice and cosey hotel, 5 min. away from Oerlikon main train station (it takes max. 15 minutes to get from the hotel to Zurich HB). The room was spacious, clean and had also a nice balcony. The breakfast is small but it has all you need for the morning, including good coffee. The personal was nice and ready to help.

Disliked: The hotel doesn't have its own parking, but I don't consider this a bottleneck as nearby are 2 public parking lots: Parkhaus Flora - 100 m and Parkhaus Dorflinde - 250 m. I used the Dorflinde parking because it's bigger. The price was decent: 36 CHF for almost 48 hours.

Something to be repeated, when I have more time

Liked: The staff was extremely helpful. I was simply passing through Zurich on my way elsewhere, and was grateful for a comfortable layover. When I return, I will certainly stay at this hotel.
