The Opera Hotel Zurich is a lovely, small hotel that is centrally located and convenient to the lake, key sights, and Ol

Liked: The Opera Hotel Zurich is well located near the lake, Old Town, and many restaurants. I also liked that it is a small hotel with 58 rooms. Breakfast was quite good too.

My only place to stay in Zurich

Liked: The stored my luggage when I had to leave for the weekend so I only had to have a reservation when I came back. Very excellent staff. 3 rd time staying here in a year. Will always stay here.

Enjoyed the hotel’s location near Lake Zurich

Liked: The hotel was in a wonderful location near the lake which was beautiful. The room and facilities were very clean and well maintained. I appreciated the bathtub.

Disliked: We were surprised to not have room darkening shades/curtains in the hotel room. The bed had upholstered headboard, footboard and sideboard on 3 sides which meant that the person sleeping on the open side of the bed had to get out of bed to enable the person on the inside to get in and out of the bed. This was awkward. We were disappointed to learn at check-in that if we wanted to enjoy an a la carte breakfast that we were not able to use the hotel’s breakfast room. Instead we were directed to use the Ambassador Hotel’s restaurant across the street. In other European hotels that we recently stayed at the a la carte guests sat well away from the buffet.

Liked: A perfect hotel! The location is absolutely fantastic, peaceful and quiet, yet very close to the beautiful city center of Zurich. The staff is warm, friendly, and welcoming. The breakfast was excellent, and the room was exceptionally clean. I have no doubt that I will stay at your hotel again! Thank you so much for a wonderful stay! Moria
