It would be ok if I could shower, feel safe and get some decent sleep

Liked: Friendly staff Comfortable and clean beds Location was great for the tower, shopping, arcades and beach

Disliked: •Booking in process - have to book in at another hotel to be handed keys that fit both the front door and your bedroom door. Reassured this would only fit our bedroom door but highly doubted it. I ended up putting the chair in front of the door for extra security. •The shower- I was really looking forward to a shower but no way was I getting in that. • Paper thin walls - we could hear every word from our neighbors (they were just talking normally) and their T.V. I tried to open the window for passing traffic noise to drain the neighbours out but instead got a lovely show down of arguments outside. • boiler (I think) next to us. Late in the night and early hours had an extremely noisy machinery every time someone was taking a shower. Highly annoying. •Lack of sleep - I love booking a hotel to only get a maximum of 2 hours sleep due to all the noise (not). • Climb of 50 stairs - my legs were killing after each climb of these stairs to top floor.

    Ok for one night

    Liked: Location great

Disliked: Need to go to another hotel to check in and leave £20 cash deposit for key. Clearly this is because the property isn’t staffed. If you want breakfast that is in the other hotel too. Bedding in our room had stains on it, some black stains, some that looked like blood. Although the bedding did smell clean the look of it wasn’t particularly pleasant.

Disliked: I booked for my sister and me to stay and when we got there got told the B&B has two venues one to sleep and the Calypso further down for breakfast and drinks, I explained to the receptionist that me and my sister who is 80 would not be able to do the walk back and forth to each venue as she has trouble walking they said they understood and we found different accommodation, they did not inform me if we didn't stay they would still charge us. They put me down as a no show on booking.com even though that was not the case, I contacted booking.com and explained the situation and they requested that the owner did not charge me but the owners refused and even though I contacted the owners myself and explained we are two pensioners and could not afford to pay for two places to stay they didn't care and refused to refund the money.

    A weekend away

Liked: The room was clean, good shower. It had a kettle, tea and coffee etc. Location very good, in town centre. Any problems, and sorted straight away. The room was safe, it had a lock on inside. The front door key is the same has bedroom, but iock on inside of door will be made just for that bedroom.

Disliked: You had to pick key up from a different hotel, breakfast in Calypso hotel. This was fine for me, but may be a problem for some. Didnt have breakfast, so cannot comment on this.
