Liked: We had a wonderful stay at the Penrhyn. My husband and I visited with our two children, aged 8 and 4, so we could see the Blackpool Illuminations and we stayed for three nights. Caron and Lawrie were incredibly welcoming, taking the time to tell us about family friendly places to visit and eat at locally (we visited the Hole in Wand crazy golf course on their recommendation and the kids loved it!). The family room was spacious and we all slept so well, it was very peaceful. We enjoyed a delicious home cooked breakfast each morning, and there were plenty of options available for the kids.

Liked: Owners were very friendly and happy to help. Breakfast was lovely, has everything we needed and if you wanted extra toast, tea etc it wasn't a problem. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Small fridge, kettle, biscuits, water, teabags etc were in the room which was a nice touch. Area was quiet which was good. Parking is in the street but we did manage to find two spaces close.

Disliked: I didn't realise how far from the North pier we were when I booked it. We had a lovely walk along the sea front as it was sunny and dry. There is a tram stop close and a bus stop too.

Comfy and friendly, this was a great experience

Liked: Exceptional service, hosts very friendly. The room and rest of the hotel was spotlessly clean, breakfast was delicious! Coffee was a little too cool but other than that, it was excellent.

Disliked: The front door was difficult to open and I had to call for the owner to let us in. Don't know why but the key simply did not work. When the owner arrived, he too said something was not quite right, so it wasn't me! The lock on the bedroom door was also difficult to negotiate.
