Cute cottage in a perfect location

Liked: What an amazing little cottage, set in a perfect location. The cottage has everything you need for the stay, lots of info about the cottage and the surrounding areas. It’s really close to several local attractions, many within walking distance. Great to have a designated parking space. Good communication from the property owner. Lots of places to eat and drink in close proximity

    Disliked: Nothing really

With a few small changes, I would recommend staying here

Liked: We really enjoyed our stay here. Wonderful location, and the cottage was what we expected. We loved the glassed in dining area. Every morning, we had our breakfast out there & would listen to the bird song & the church bells. On the down side, finding the keys was a challenge as there are 2 lock boxes on the same wall. One was right by the car door, which is the one we tried over & over again. We didn't find the other lock box until 30 minutes later. We tried calling the owner, but got no answer. Trying to get into the house, once we got the keys, was another challenge. After 45 minutes, we got in, feeling thoroughly frustrated. We tried getting hold of the owner a couple of other times & never got through to her. Other then these points, we really had a good time & were very comfortable in the cottage.

Disliked: Check in - specify which lock box the keys are in. Better explanation of how to get into the cottage. Hard beds. Couldn't get hold of owner.

Nice cottage in a great location but too many foreign visitors crowding the town

Liked: Location was excellent and parking a lot easier than expected as a few comments mentioned how narrow the approach to the parking space was but as long as you are not driving a huge vehicle it’s fine. We had Sunday lunch in The Old Manse Hotel and although it’s part of a big brewery chain the food was first class!

Disliked: Nothing relating to the cottage but the town was utterly swamped with foreign tourists - so much so it was genuinely challenging to simply walk through the town. This may have even due to the time of our visit (27 - 30 December) but we managed to get away from the crowds by taking the lovely walk to Lower Slaughter which is a stunning Cotswold hamlet.
