Fabulous
Great place very comfortable
Liked: Lovely area Quiet safe and close to town.
Disliked: Tight parking
It was not good
Disliked: WiFi was non-existent and completely didn't work. There's also pretty much no 4G signal in the property so we just couldn't use the internet. A bird fell into the fireplace because there doesn't seem to be a bird guard on the chimney which I'm think is illegal. There is a big tree overhanging the parking spot, so was very difficult to park and get in and out of the vehicle. The house was super creaky and loud like it was built out of the cheapest materials. We could hear everything throughout the house. On top of all that, it was super expensive. £670 for two weekday nights. Regret staying there as I thought it would have been good for the price, but it wasn't, we should have stayed in a hotel where we would actually get what you pay for.
Comfortable house but not what we would have booked
Disliked: The location of the property wasn’t made clear in the booking as we had arrived by train and so had no car. Further and harder than anticipated to reach the property. The outdoor space was disappointing. It was very untidy and far from clean Would not have sat out there although the weather was good. Inside it we stated there was two bathrooms which was misleading as it was in fact one bathroom and one toilet.
Liked: 5 min walk to town center
Disliked: Steep hill to accomodation
A Hidden Highland Gem
Liked: We had a wonderful family stay! The house was spotlessly clean, beautifully maintained, and had a fully equipped kitchen with everything we needed. The host was incredibly welcoming and supportive throughout our stay. Great location with free parking, a short walk to the seaside, and easy access to the town and Ben Nevis. Highly recommended!
Disliked: Nothing
Liked: The whole house was incredibly clean and the kitchen was well equipped. Some useful items had been left in cupboards too like tea bags, tin foil, kitchen roll - more than you get at a lot of rentals these days. The beds were a bit on the small side but very comfortable, and the shower was great. There is also a toilet and sink on the ground floor in addition to the upstairs toilet which was very handy. The location was good too, just off the A82, although its up a very steep hill so be aware of this if you don't have a car.
Disliked: The house is full of hazards if you are travelling with small children as we were (our kids are 5 and 1), so be aware of this when booking - lots of breakables and the floor divider between the living room and kitchen area was completely broken, so a big trip hazard. We were just there one night so it was manageable, but any longer than this and our stay would have been very difficult. The dishwasher was incredibly loud - it sounded like a drill for a good portion of the cycle. The parking arrangement is quite off-putting on arrival too as the neighbour next to the house has surrounded their car in red traffic cones to mark their spot - it seemed to us a sign of frustration from them about the set up.
