Exceptional
Pleasant, quiet and comfortable place to stay
Liked: The cottage was very comfortable in a bush/ river setting. It was very quiet, a walk to the train station with off street parking. The bed was very comfortable. The hosts provided a few goodies and a basic breakfast to get us started which was welcomed.
Disliked: Nothing that we would note
Liked: Very clean and well presented property with parking and all the facilities you could need. The hosts also provided a couple of snacks, milk and cereal which went down very well as we had to leave early for Ben Nevis, which was only 3 minutes drive to the centre. Unfortunately due to traffic we were later than hoped but still had a wonderful stay.
Disliked: There was nothing we didn’t like, everything was as described.
Excellent stay, highly recommend
Liked: We were not expecting breakfast but a variety of tasty things were left for us which we enjoyed.
Disliked: Nothing, it was a super place to stay
Spotlessly clean, comfy and very well equipped
Liked: Spotlessly clean cottage with everything you needed. Washing machine and drying rack very useful mid-trip. Location was walking distance to town in a quiet street. Milk in fridge and breakfast muesli etc very nice to have!
Disliked: Everything was great.
A perfect place for a stay in the highlands
Liked: River Cottage is perfect for a couple's getaway, everything you need for a short or long stay. The facilities are excellent. The location of River Cottage is perfect for Fort William, a short walk into town to set you up for dinner on the way there and walk off the excess a little on the way back.
Disliked: Nothing.
Perfect location and accomodation!
Liked: We booked for a nights stay before an early start to climb Ben Nevis so being 4 minutes away from Ben Nevis Visitor Centre was perfect! Property was clean, well furnished and cosy! It had all the amenities needed and we would definitely stay longer next time. Debbie was super helpful and generous allowing a late checkout. Would definitely recommend.
