  Liked: It was clean. The beds were comfortable (I had two because I had to change rooms). Breakfast was OK.

  Disliked: On arrival I was asked if I would be bringing anyone else to my room. I said I wouldn't. The response 'well you never know'... The first night involved little sleep due to police sirens and screaming revellers. I asked to change to a quieter room. After initially being told that they were fully booked, then that this would involve having to clean another room and leave one unusable, I was eventually given a quieter room. As I was dropping off, a stag party drunkenly started singing in the corridor and next door room. They left after a while and came back at 4.30, singing again at the top of their voices. The staff did manage to shut them up, but it took me a long time to drop off again. I will not be using this hotel on my next visit to beautiful Newcastle.

  Great hotel

  Liked: The room was lovely, bathroom nice and clean and plenty of towels for us to use, staff were also wonderful, comfy bed and the room was'nt too hot like some hotels. A nice short walk from the train station, shops and arena for gigs, we will definitely stay again.

  Disliked: The walls are a little thin so you hear people walking around upstairs but absolutely no outside noise so was actually quieter than other hotels I've stayed.

  Will definitely be back

  Liked: Was very clean, staff were excellent, lovely breakfast. Blackout curtains were definitely appreciated. Great location for arena events and city centre.

  Disliked: Being on the 5th floor it would have been helpful to know you have to put the key card into the slot for the electric in the room to work before getting to the room. Will definitely book a city view room next time.
