  Absolutely grim, wouldn't recommend

  Disliked: Room faced main road. Windows are paper thin, several bars/clubs across street, extremely noisy and didnt get a wink of sleep. Heating didnt work and then randomly came on during the night. No hot water in the morning. No towels in room and when I went to ask for some staff member was quite patronising as if I'd made a mistake. No apology offered, but was quickly resolved. Entire place is very outdated and in need of refurbishment. Beds are very uncomfortable. Apart from location to station there is nothing good I can say about here.

  Liked: Lovely friendly staff.

  Disliked: The music from the venue downstairs was thudding till 3am. I was on the 3rd floor and I couldn't get to sleep until the venue turned the music off. It was probably louder than the fire alarm that went off at 2am.

  Nice but let down with no hot water for a shower / bath etc, disappointing tbh

  Liked: Nice hotel right next to the train station and city centre.

  Disliked: There was no hot water in the morning so couldn’t have a shower in the room, massive disappointment and huge inconvenience, was offered a shower in the gym outside the main building but everyone was in the same situation and not really good enough tbh for a big hotel like this.

This is a nonsmoking hotel. Guests are advised that the same card used to make the booking will be required to take the payment.

The card used to make the booking has to be presented upon check-in.

Leisure Club opening hours are as follows: Monday to Friday, 07:00 until 21:15, Saturday, 09:00 until 17.15 and Sunday 08:00 until 15:!5. Please note last entry into the Leisure Club will be 30 minutes prior to closing time. The Leisure Club will be closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day.

For Bank Holiday and Christmas opening and closing times, please contact the hotel direct.

Stag parties and groups at weekend: please contact the hotel after your booking has been made, as a security deposit is required.

Different policies and additional supplements apply when booking for 6 or more guests.

If the reservation is to be charged to a company or business card, the company or business must send an email to the hotel direct as confirmation of payment.
